D/O/B: 24 November 1986
Occupation: Marketing Communication and Corporate Communication first year lecturer at the University of Johannesburg.
Sporting background: played provincial tennis as a youngster – so I’m pretty much only useful for short bursts of running/jogging/walking as opposed to the whole long distance JHB to CT thing.
Having run only three 10k races ever, you will not be finding me on the road for this epic challenge but rather behind the scenes on the communications front and operating as somewhat of a ‘momanger’ for the group 🙂
Supporting these runners on their journey is a great privilege and I’m so excited to cheer them on every step of the way. Furthermore being married to Shaun Raaff (our fearless leader) is in and of its self, challenge enough for me!
As a lecture I experience the education problems this country faces on a daily basis. I see the impact of the education system and how so few students are actually prepared for tertiary education or equipped with a skill set to function in the business environment. For me this initiative is an opportunity to bring awareness to an issue that affects all South Africans and try to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in a sector I feel so passionately about.
