Giving Tuesday is an opportunity for people around the world to use their individual power of generosity to remain connected and support their communities. It’s a day when everyone comes together to give back in all forms-acts of kindness, gifts of voice, time, talent or treasure.

Help us support our 26 scholars who do not have a long-term scholarship partner.

We are doing everything possible to sustain our daily operations and provide continued support to our scholars. Since the start of the pandemic, we have attempted to cut costs as much as possible without compromising the quality of service delivered. But the one cost that we do not compromise on is our comprehensive scholarship support to these 26 unfunded scholars. If you’re able, please make a donation to help us fund these scholars.

Not only do we depend on our fundraising events to ensure that we can provide the comprehensive support our scholars need through a dedicated multi-disciplinary team, but also to fund these 26 scholars for whom we don’t have long-term financial support through a scholarship partnership.

Want to host your own fundraiser in support of MAD? Here’s a peer-to-peer fundraising guide to make the fundraising your own.

Peer-to-peer Fundraising Guide

We’re thankful for your unwavering support of our organisation and are thrilled that you’ve decided to make an even bigger impact by becoming a fundraiser on our behalf. Supporters like you make our mission easier to attain. Your partnership in supporting our mutual cause means that by deciding to become a fundraiser, you’re taking the partnership to the next level: introducing us to your friends and family. That’s a big deal! To ensure you’re equipped with all the right tools, tips and tricks, we’ve created this Fundraising Toolkit.

If you feel like making the fundraising event your own and setting your own goal towards our R2,000,000 goal, you can set up a fundraising page by clicking here and choosing the option Start Fundraising. This will take you to a page where you will sign up to become a fundraiser in support of the Make A Difference Leadership Foundation NPC.

Steps of Setting Up a Fundraiser

  1. Set your goal. (PRO TIP: To jumpstart your campaign, be the first one to donate! Showcasing that you’re not only a supporter but also a donor will encourage your network to give).
  2. Set up your fundraising page.
  3. Tell your story. Your story is the first thing people will see when visiting your fundraising page. So, your goal is to make it as impactful as possible. It’s important to communicate how MAD Leadership Foundation’s mission has impacted your life in a meaningful way and why you’ve decided to fundraise on our behalf. And don’t hesitate to pull at any heartstrings; people are more likely to give if there’s an emotional connection.
  4. Share your fundraising campaign on social media, friend group, family chatrooms, etc.!

Thank you so much for taking the time to spread the word about our work and for fundraising on our behalf. Every cent raised moves us closer to fulfilling our mission and helps us continue to make a lasting impact. We appreciate you and look forward to continuing this meaningful partnership for years to come!
