Launch is a personalised development programme designed to support our graduates as they transition successfully from tertiary education into the world of work. While earning a tertiary qualification is a significant achievement, it does not always equate to being work-ready in today’s competitive job market. Although our scholars have received a high-quality education, they continue to benefit from tailored guidance, practical skills development, and ongoing support to help them confidently navigate the transition into meaningful employment.
We aim to provide our graduates with the necessary tools to find employment and soft skills needed for the workplace. Additionally, we provide personal support throughout the transition.
The Launch Programme supports graduates during their first year of employment, providing the guidance and resources they need to secure meaningful work, thrive in the workplace, and ensure emotional wellbeing. In this way, graduates are supported as they adapt to the demands and opportunities of the working world.
Offerings include:
- Job search support
- Work-related soft skills
- Financial literacy skills
- Personal support

As a Launch Programme participant, graduates gain access to the guidance, resources and networks they need to navigate this important transition with confidence. Participants benefit from:
- Dedicated support from a Launch Programme Coordinator, as well as medical aid cover and financial assistance towards obtaining a driver’s licence
- Fellowship, by joining the MAD Leadership Foundation Alums network and becoming part of a lifelong community of graduates
- Mentorship through the MAD Leadership Foundation’s Connect Mentorship Programme
- Skills development & coaching, including access to Mighty Networks, webinars, individual coaching sessions and online professional development courses
- Psychosocial support & counselling to promote personal wellbeing and resilience
- Job search support, including assistance with CV and cover letter writing, mock interviews, job search strategies and workshops designed to prepare graduates for successful entry into the workforce
