Peer-to-peer Fundraising Guide
We’re thankful for your unwavering support of our organization and are thrilled that you’ve decided to make an even bigger impact by becoming a fundraiser on our behalf. Supporters like you make the nonprofit world go ’round. Your partnership in supporting our mutual cause means that by deciding to become a fundraiser, you’re taking the partnership to the next level: introducing us to your friends and family. That’s a big deal! To ensure you’re equipped with all the right tools, tips and tricks, we’ve created this Fundraising Toolkit.
If you feel like making the fundraising event your absolute own and wanting to set your own goal towards our R2,000,000 goal, you can set up a fundraising page by clicking here and choosing the option Start Fundraising. This will take you to a page where you will sign up to become a fundraiser in support of Make A Difference Leadership Foundation NPC.
We are currently raising funds for 26 of our unfunded scholars and any amount makes a difference. Give your event the extra layer and raise funds for a good cause!
Steps of Setting Up a Fundraiser
- Set your goal. (PRO TIP: To jumpstart your campaign, be the first one to donate! Showcasing that you’re not only a supporter but also a donor will encourage your network to give).
- Set up your fundraising page.
- Tell your story. Your story is the first thing people will see when visiting your fundraising page, so your goal is to make it as impactful as possible. It’s important to communicate how our organization’s mission has impacted your life in a meaningful way and why you’ve decided to fundraise on our behalf. And don’t hesitate to pull at their heartstrings; people are more likely to give if there’s an emotional connection.
- Share your fundraising campaign on social media, friend group, family chatrooms, etc.!
Thank you so much for taking the time to spread the word about our nonprofit’s work and for fundraising on our behalf. Every dollar raised moves us closer to fulfilling our mission and helps us continue to make a lasting impact. We appreciate you and look forward to continuing this meaningful partnership for years to come!
“My scholarship means I have a lot of supporters, and this has given me confidence and energy. It has also given me a positive mindset, and the belief that I can achieve my goals.”– Mmasecba, MAD Scholar

MAD2Adventures exists to create a unique and adventurous platform for fundraising. It is an opportunity to be a part of an inspiring cross-country journey to raise funds for the Make A Difference Leadership Foundation (MAD).
MAD2Adventures hosts two annual cross-country events, MAD2Run and MAD2Ride. This adventure-for-a-cause was initiated in 2012 when a group of friends decided that it was time to be proactive and make a positive contribution to their much-loved country, South Africa. This team of ordinary South Africans set themselves an extra-ordinary challenge – to use their feet for a great feat – and run 1500km across South Africa, for South Africa.
Now an ever-expanding group of ordinary South Africans with the drive to make a difference by not only running but also riding from Johannesburg to Cape Town in just one week!
Two girls on a crazy mission to raise as much as we can for the MAD Leadership Foundation.
Giving Tuesday is an opportunity for people around the world to use their individual power of generosity to remain connected and support their communities.
